Pentecost Celebration
We will be celebrating with a combined worship service at Congregational UCC on Sunday, May 27th. There will be a potluck lunch following the service with games and activities for all ages. Mark your calendars now and plan on joining us! These services are a wonderful part of our covenant between the two congregations to support each other in our growth in Spirit.
In addition, the
Strengthen the Church! offering will be collected, which is a way we support the UCC locally and nationally. This offering goes to things such as funding new church starts (like New Vision, and we are grateful for such support!), building youth and young adult ministries, and supporting the
God is Stillspeaking movement.
Join us in singing!
Starting in June, Pastor Anissa will be rehearsing with members of New Vision and CUCC for a joint choir to sing at our combined services this summer. Rehearsal will happen at 9:15 in the sanctuary every Sunday that Pastor Anissa is with us for Sunday morning service. Those dates are: June 3, 10, July 1, 8, 29 August 5, 12. Let’s share our voices and provide some special music for our worship this summer.
This Summer join Pastor Anissa and Tracy at their home for the BACKYARD BOOK BRUNCH on the first Saturdays of June, July and August (June 2, July 7, August 4) at 10AM. “Tranissa” will provide an eggy-brunchy-type dish. You bring some food to share, a chair to sit in and an open mind and open heart to share your questions, celebrations and fears, listen to the journey of others and listen for the voice of God in our midst. Their house is at 1706 Harvard Avenue, NW in Canton, Ohio (only a couple of miles from the church). Conveniently there is a New Vision UCC sign on the front lawn.
